RICS' Associate qualification

Giving you a competitive edge

RICS is the world's leading qualification when it comes to professional recognition in land, property and construction. It is highly regarded by employers and clients around the globe and gives you a genuine competitive advantage in your career.

RICS' Associate qualification (AssocRICS) is a new grade of membership that provides an opportunity, if you have relevant work experience and vocational qualifications, to enhance your status and gain recognition. The Associate qualification also provides a stepping stone to advance to full chartered membership.

AssocRICS is achieved by demonstrating that you meet RICS standards through evidence of work experience in your day to day role. Your progress is managed via a user-friendly online assessment tool so there's no complicated paperwork to complete and what's more, you don't need to take time out of work - we provide all the help and support you need, every step of the way.

There are no minimum requirements to start on the Associate qualification. If you are currently gaining experience in your area of practice, you can join RICS and start working towards your qualification now. If you have 4 years’ relevant work experience or a relevant vocational qualification plus a period of work experience you will already be eligible for assessment.

Register now to start working towards your Associate qualification today.
