Candidates who already have proven competence in their chosen specialism through surveying related qualifications or membership of professional bodies may be eligible to become an RICS Associate through direct entry.

Direct entry candidates will not be required to build a portfolio of documented work-based evidence to prove their competence; they will simply need to submit evidence of their qualifications and will become an Associate membership on successful completion of an online ethics module.
