Associate – Who is it for?
RICS' Associate qualification provides an opportunity for individuals working in the land, property and construction sectors,
with relevant work experience and/or vocational qualifications to gain global recognition for their skills.
There are no minimum requirements to start on the Associate qualification. If you are currently gaining experience in your area of practice,
you can join RICS and start working towards your qualification now.
In fact, you may immediately qualify for Associate status without further study or work experience –
particularly if you have over four years’ experience, an RICS approved vocational qualification or membership of an
appropriate professional body.
You will need to have up to four years' relevant experience by the time of assessment. Some candidates may need to gain further
work experience or alternatively choose to undertake additional vocational qualifications to reach the required standard.
